Hi, from me, Audrey,
Author, Audrey Couloumbis

Virginia Nasser of the Newburgh Library, leader of the Mother-Daughter Reading Group realized that each book they had read over the course of several months had mentioned foods the characters enjoyed.

She and her mothers and daughters made an event of creating the dishes mentioned in the books they had been reading. This was a big treat for me because i was able to join them for Mrs. Biddle's pound cake and Sylvia's potato soup and frittata, and for several other terrific dishes out of other books.

Since then, I've been to a couple of more Books to Chew Through and Sweet Treats to Read parties and they are always popular events.

Enjoy!
